In a radius of about 100 miles, 2 million bales are produced yearly. Lubbock County alone produces 250,000 bales. A regular cotton bale weighs 500 lbs. It's average value is $325. The average yield per acre is 453 lbs. This little bale equals a long sleeve shirt in it's raw form.
